Just bought this game the other day, I am a long time lover of the original Farming Game (been playing since I was a young girl and it has been my favourite since the 1st time!) but I was a little disappointed when my husband and I opened up the new card game tonight and started to play. I am vigilant when it comes to reading the instructions but I became a little frustrated when it didn’t explain what to do with our crop cards after harvesting the end of the 1st year. It explain about refinancing at the beginning of the next year but only with an old crop card so apparently you don’t return them to the pile after harvesting but then what is the purpose of the storage option if you keep them anyways? Please explain this to me, maybe I’m missing something here, we really are looking forward to this game so I hope there is a way to understand this! Thank you for your great games and I hope to hear from someone soon!

    • So sorry for the delay in response. You keep the crop card each year. Think of it as the land and each harvest can be sold right away or if prices dictate then you can store the harvest and hope for better pricing next year. Unless you finance the crop and do not have enough cash to pay off the mortgage. In that case the property is to be auctioned off.
